Bernie Wrightson

Illustrations of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”

I felt so terribly in love with this illustrations, they render the novel beautifully. When I’m grown up I want to be as good as him. :)

This came in the mail today and I am oh so pleased. *cries at the beauty*

Hands-down, some of the finest pieces of illustration ever created. Had a massive impact on me when I discovered them over 20 years ago. Wrightson is still one of my heroes.

London Super Comic Convention starts today. Just a quick reminder that I’ll be in Artist Alley, table A20 so if you’re at the show please feel free to stop by and say hi.

I’ll be sketching all weekend, as well as having stacks of original art, including pages I inked for the Splinter Cell: Blacklist graphic novel penciled by the mighty Marc Laming (Kings Watch, Exile of the Planet of the Apes)

If you do one thing at LSCC, go and see Dave and his work!

Just finished this Punisher sketch. Ink and markers on A4 bristol board.

I drew it several time ago, but it’s still one of my favorite :-)
